Amazon grants additional $5,000 to Uplift Northwest, total up to $25,000 in 2020
Uplift Northwest relies on the generosity and the engagement of our local community, and we are so pleased to announce that Amazon has contributed another donation of $5,000 to help our mission. This brings Amazon’s 2020 contributions up to a tremendous $25,000.
This grant was recommended by Amazon employee and Uplift Northwest Board member, Brigitte Dudek, as part of Amazon’s end-of-year efforts to support local non-profit organizations. The unrestricted funds are meant to provide additional support as Uplift Northwest continues to navigate COVID-19 and the modified job landscape.
The funds will be used to continue placing men and women into stable jobs, develop additional job training opportunities, and ensure that all workers have necessary personal protective equipment. These jobs create opportunity for individuals who may be experiencing poverty and/or homelessness, and struggle with overcoming barriers to employment.
Now more than ever, the jobs provided to men and women are critical to their health and well-being as they work to secure a safe home, nutritional meals, and a path forward beyond the current crisis.
